Hello friends and fans of the OSU!
Well, this has been a beautiful, if hot, July month, with many performance opportunities. We’ve had a lot of fun performing in and around Ottawa, and we really enjoyed being a part of the Edge of the Woods theatre festival, around Huntsville. There, we met some wonderful people, including members of the Théâtre Biscornu, from Québec city, who performed a delightful little piece called The Borings.
We only have two more performances of Curioux left, so if you haven’t seen it yet, don’t miss your chance! This coming Thursday, July 28, we will be performing in Manotick, and on August 1st, we will be performing in the Lowertown Summer Festival, to support Bingham park, where we’ve rehearsed so many times.
During the month of August, you might see us in Major’s Hill park, working on our acrobatic skills. If you do, don’t be shy, come say hello!

Bonjour, chers amis du OSU!
Nous avons passé un très beau mois de juillet, malgré la chaleur, au cours duquel nous avons pu présenter Curioux dans le cadre de plusieurs festivals dans la région. Nous avons aussi participé au festival Edge of the Woods à Huntsville, où nous avons fait la connaissance d’une compagnie de Québec, le Théâtre Biscornu. Ils nous ont charmés avec leur spectacle The Borings.
Il ne vous reste plus beaucoup de temps pour voir les Curioux cet été. Nous serons à Manotick ce jeudi, 28 juillet, puis, le 1er août, au parc Bingham, où nous avons souvent répété nos spectacles. Au cours du mois d’août, vous pourrez peut-être nous voir au parc Major, en train de développer nos talents d’acrobates. N’hésitez pas à venir nous saluer!

A quick update on what we’re working on. You might have noticed that a new show has been popping up on our Upcoming events page: Curioux. This is a new animation show we’re currently developing, and which will be seen at various events this summer. Stay tuned for more details and pictures.
As for Searching for Snails, it is still a future project, but it has been put on hold for the time being. We are hoping to start working on it again in the fall, and will be sure to keep you updated.
With the nice weather, we’ve started rehearsing outdoors again, so look out for us in various Ottawa parks, and don’t hesitate to come over and say hi!
Joyeux printemps aux amis du OSU!
Une petite mise à jour sur nos projets. Vous avez peut-être remarqué que, dans notre section Événements à venir, nous mentionnons un nouveau spectacle: Curioux. Il s’agit d’un spectacle d’animation sur lequel nous sommes en train de travailler, et qui sera présenté à divers festivals cet été. Plus de détails, ainsi que des photos, suivront.
Pour ce qui est de À la recherche des escargots, nous prenons une petite pause dans sa création. Nous espérons reprendre le travail cet automne, et nous vous tiendrons au courant.
Et finalement, avec le beau temps qui revient, nous avons recommencé à répéter à l’extérieur, alors ne soyez pas surpris si vous nous rencontrez dans des parcs d’Ottawa, et n’hésitez pas à venir nous dire bonjour!

Last weekend, we went outside (in a windchill of -30!) to rehearse and try out elements of costumes. Here’s a preview of what you’ll see at Jacques Cartier park:
